The line of Atv­el cord­less vac­u­um clean­ers has 5 mod­els. The most inter­est­ing of them is def­i­nite­ly Atv­el F16 — a rare rep­re­sen­ta­tive of wash­ing vac­u­um clean­ers. It simul­ta­ne­ous­ly col­lects small debris, wash­es floors and sucks dirty water into a large con­tain­er. Atv­el F16 will sig­nif­i­cant­ly reduce the time for clean­ing after a flower trans­plant and for elim­i­nat­ing some kind of cat­a­stro­phe in the kitchen. In addi­tion, the vac­u­um clean­er rins­es out its work­ing tools on its own — just put it on the dock­ing sta­tion and press the but­ton on the body. You can buy a func­tion­al vac­u­um clean­er for only 190$. The offer is quite inter­est­ing! Lat­er in the arti­cle I will talk about the design and equip­ment of the Atv­el F16, as well as test it in the field.

Equipment

The robot arrives dis­as­sem­bled:

• the main unit, con­sist­ing of a motor com­part­ment, a dust col­lec­tor and a brush;
• han­dle bar;
• con­tain­er for water;
• bat­tery block.

Putting these ele­ments togeth­er, we get the same vac­u­um clean­er that is drawn on the box. But besides him, in the box you can find a lot of use­ful acces­sories:

• bristly tur­bo brush for car­pets (a soft roller is already installed in the sock­et of the vac­u­um clean­er);
• main­te­nance tools: brush and brush;
• hex wrench;
• dock­ing sta­tion and adapter;
• com­part­ment with a slot for stor­ing the roller.

Up to the max­i­mum con­fig­u­ra­tion, only a spare HEPA fil­ter is miss­ing.

Design and build

The engine com­part­ment pass­es into the work­ing unit by means of a swiv­el, and a rod with a con­ve­nient han­dle is insert­ed from above.

In the suc­tion sock­et, you can install either a soft roller, which is great for com­plex clean­ing, or a tur­bo car­pet brush. It is not dif­fi­cult to replace the work­ing tool; for this pur­pose, a spe­cial lock is pro­vid­ed on the side.

Also at the base of the work­er are addi­tion­al ele­ments:

• rub­ber scraper (col­lects mois­ture residues);
• large and small sup­port rollers;
• grate, open­ing which, you can clean the air duct.

The dust col­lec­tor is installed on the front side of the engine com­part­ment. Dry debris and dirty water are col­lect­ed in a large bowl, while air pass­es through a mesh and HEPA fil­ter.

The bat­tery pack is locat­ed in the slot on the back of the vac­u­um clean­er. A charge of 2600 mAh lasts for 30 min­utes. If this time is not enough for clean­ing in your apart­ment, you can buy a sec­ond bat­tery pack and use it after the first one is dis­charged.

A 680 ml tank is installed on the plat­form next to the bar. Liq­uid is sup­plied from it dur­ing wet clean­ing.

Man­age­ment is car­ried out using a han­dle with two but­tons: turn­ing on clean­ing and select­ing a mode. Addi­tion­al­ly, under the han­dle there is a water sup­ply reg­u­la­tor. When oper­at­ing, you can focus on the dis­play data. It shows the select­ed pow­er, bat­tery sta­tus and pre­dict­ed run time.

Next to the dis­play there is a but­ton to turn on self-clean­ing. If you place the vac­u­um clean­er on the dock­ing sta­tion and press this but­ton, the robot will auto­mat­i­cal­ly wash the roller in the tray and col­lect the dirty water in the con­tain­er.

Dry and wet cleaning

Atv­el F16 per­forms a three-stage clean­ing:

1. The rotat­ing roller cleans the floor from adher­ing dirt. If you need to clean car­pets, the roller should be replaced with a tur­bo brush.
2. The vac­u­um motor draws debris into the dust col­lec­tor. In “Eco” mode, the suc­tion force is 5000 Pa, and in “Max” mode it increas­es to 5500 Pa. The dif­fer­ence in auton­o­my is only 3 min­utes, so it is prefer­able to use the max­i­mum mode.
3. When you press the lever under the han­dle, water is sup­plied under the work­ing unit. The vac­u­um clean­er does its job and imme­di­ate­ly sucks up the dirty liq­uid, leav­ing the floor only slight­ly damp.

Atv­el F16 draws in garbage well and cleans car­pets from wool, but the main pur­pose of this mod­el is com­plex clean­ing. The vac­u­um clean­er can simul­ta­ne­ous­ly vac­u­um and mop floors, col­lect spilled ketchup, wipe dried cof­fee. Remem­ber what you did ear­li­er with an egg that fell on the floor: you had to care­ful­ly col­lect the shell, then invite Rex to lick off all this slur­ry, and at the end you still need to wipe the floor with a rag, rinse it out. But with Atv­el F16, any dis­as­ter in the kitchen is elim­i­nat­ed in 30 sec­onds, with­out run­ning around and nerves.

To eval­u­ate the effec­tive­ness of the vac­u­um clean­er, I con­duct­ed sev­er­al tests.

Test #1 — Mud after transplanting flowers

The soft roller wash­es the floor well and rubs the sur­face to a shine in sev­er­al pass­es. But if the vil­li of the roller become clogged with dirt, it begins to leave streaks. To avoid this, it is bet­ter to first col­lect the dirt with a tur­bo brush with­out water sup­ply, and then put the roller and car­ry out a com­pre­hen­sive clean­ing.

Test number 2 — Groats on a laminate

This task did not cause any dif­fi­cul­ties for Atv­el. All the garbage was instant­ly in the dust­bin.

Test #3 — Wool, Sand, and Small Debris on Laminate

The result is the same. The brush eas­i­ly picks up even large par­ti­cles of debris, such as cat lit­ter.

Test #4 — Small Garbage on the Carpet

For Atv­el F16, this is the most dif­fi­cult task, how­ev­er, he coped with it. But for high-qual­i­ty clean­ing of the fleecy coat­ing, each area needs to be brushed 2–3 times.

Main­te­nance of the vac­u­um clean­er after clean­ing does not take much time. It is enough to put it on the sta­tion and press the self-clean­ing but­ton. After that, it remains only to pour out the dirty water and clean the fil­ter.

It’s time to take stock

Atv­el F16 is a wash­ing vac­u­um clean­er that solves a wide range of tasks, from col­lect­ing specks on linoleum to clean­ing tiles in the kitchen. You can switch between dry and wet clean­ing on the fly, the water sup­ply is reg­u­lat­ed by a lever on the han­dle. In the basic con­fig­u­ra­tion, Atv­el F16 will be able to serve a small apart­ment with 3–4 rooms, but with addi­tion­al bat­tery packs, the clean­ing area increas­es sig­nif­i­cant­ly. There are few vac­u­um clean­ers with such func­tion­al­i­ty on the mar­ket, and they all cost sig­nif­i­cant­ly more than Atv­el.
