When devel­op­ing the Eufy Robo­Vac G30 Hybrid, the man­u­fac­tur­er paid spe­cial atten­tion to design. This hand­some man looks much more expen­sive than he is asked for, although the price tag is not to say that it is low — about 18 thou­sand on the Yan­dex Mar­ket. Robo­Vac G30 boasts increased pow­er on car­pets, gyro­scope-based map­ping, high-qual­i­ty noise iso­la­tion and rich equip­ment. When you open the box, you will be sur­prised how many use­ful things fit in there. How­ev­er, I will tell about all the details, includ­ing test results, lat­er in the review.

Equipment

The pack­age includes:

• robot vac­u­um clean­er;
• dock­ing sta­tion with adapter;
• sil­i­cone back­ing;
• mop with installed nap­kin;
• 5 dis­pos­able wipes;
• spare con­sum­ables: end brush, HEPA fil­ter and noz­zles;
• mag­net­ic tape;
• ser­vice brush;
• cable ties on the floor;
• dou­ble-sided adhe­sive tape for attach­ing the dock­ing sta­tion;
• doc­u­men­ta­tion set in Eng­lish.

Only the remote con­trol is miss­ing, the rest of the pack­age is com­plete.

Appearance

Robo­Vac G30 is a 74mm high gloss wash­er with a 320mm diam­e­ter. Dimen­sions are small­er than most com­peti­tors. There will be no prob­lems with paten­cy under fur­ni­ture.

There are three but­tons on the front pan­el (start / pause, home and spot clean­ing), as well as a Wi-Fi indi­ca­tor. Anoth­er con­trol ele­ment — the pow­er switch — is locat­ed on the side pan­el.

At the front, the body cov­ers the soft-touch bumper, and at the back, a 450 ml col­lapsi­ble dust con­tain­er is insert­ed. Inside is a rub­ber­ized HEPA fil­ter. It can be washed with water.

Under the bot­tom are the fol­low­ing acces­sories:

• dri­ve wheels and swiv­el roller;
• ter­mi­nals for recharg­ing;
• 4 fall sen­sors;
• one end brush and a floor sen­sor in place of the sec­ond brush;
• non-sep­a­ra­ble tur­bo­brush, its frame is fixed in the body and does not “float”.

You can also install a mop under the bot­tom. The built-in tank holds 130 ml of water, which flows direct­ly onto the nap­kin.

Control

For man­age­ment, a pro­pri­etary appli­ca­tion Eufy is used. It offers the fol­low­ing fea­tures:

• start, stop and return to base;
• pow­er adjust­ment in three posi­tions;
• mode selec­tion: auto­mat­ic (zigza­gs) or point (spi­ral);
• delayed start pro­gram­ming with a choice of day of the week and time;
• clean­ing his­to­ry with drawn maps;
• switch­ing voice pack­age: Eng­lish or Chi­nese;
• change the vol­ume of noti­fi­ca­tions;
• man­u­al con­trol (joy­stick);
• search by sound sig­nal;
• assess­ment of wear of acces­sories;
• ser­vice func­tions.

The appli­ca­tion installs quick­ly and works quite quick­ly.

Navigation

Unlike most com­peti­tors, the Robo­Vac G30 zigza­gs through the room first and then picks up debris against the walls. With­in the apart­ment, the robot nav­i­gates well: on the com­piled map, the lay­out of the house is eas­i­ly rec­og­nized and the posi­tion of the base is marked. But Eufy’s obsta­cle recog­ni­tion is lame: IR sen­sors see only large light objects, the robot hits every­thing else with a bumper. There­fore, slip­pers may not be where you left them.

On black coat­ings and thick car­pets Robo­Vac G30 moves with­out dif­fi­cul­ty, but it can­not over­come the thresh­old above 15 mm due to low ground clear­ance. When dri­ving on a car­pet, the robot auto­mat­i­cal­ly increas­es the suc­tion pow­er.

If you select the max­i­mum pow­er in the appli­ca­tion, the 2600 mAh bat­tery will last for 75 min­utes, dur­ing which the vac­u­um clean­er will have time to process up to 50 sq.m. For large hous­es, the func­tion of resum­ing clean­ing after recharg­ing is pro­vid­ed.

Dry cleaning

Robo­Vac G30 cleans smooth sur­faces very well. Despite the low suc­tion pow­er (2000 Pa), he was able to col­lect 96% of cere­als and flakes, and 100% of sand from the lam­i­nate. Such indi­ca­tors are rarely found even in the pre­mi­um seg­ment.

But the lack of pow­er is already begin­ning to affect the fleecy coat­ings. On a thin car­pet, Robo­Vac G30 col­lect­ed only 90%. On the aver­age car­pet, the result is also stan­dard for the bud­get seg­ment — 65%.

The robot col­lects wool qual­i­ta­tive­ly from any sur­face. Short hairs go straight into the dust col­lec­tor, while long hairs are wound on the tur­bo brush. It is incon­ve­nient to clean it, because the ends are not removed.

The noise lev­el dur­ing dry clean­ing was a pleas­ant sur­prise — even at max­i­mum pow­er, the Robo­Vac G30 does not pro­duce more than 55 dB.

Wet cleaning

Wet clean­ing for this mod­el is an aux­il­iary func­tion. The nap­kin does not adhere to the floor very tight­ly, but is not wet­ted inten­sive­ly enough. With cof­fee stains Robo­Vac G30 coped only on the third attempt, and even then not com­plete­ly.

• no mesh fil­ter;
• poor nav­i­ga­tion;
• one-piece tur­bo brush;
• poor qual­i­ty of wet clean­ing;
• does not speak Russ­ian.

Summing up

The Eufy Robo­Vac G30 Hybrid is best suit­ed for clean­ing smooth sur­faces in apart­ments with a sim­ple lay­out. The robot flaw­less­ly col­lects sand and small debris on linoleum and lam­i­nate, it can clean wool from car­pets, but it lacks pow­er for deep clean­ing of car­pet pile. 18 thou­sand for a mod­el with a gyro­scope is a seri­ous price tag, but after unpack­ing it becomes clear why it costs so much. In gen­er­al, Robo­Vac G30 is a good solu­tion for those who appre­ci­ate ele­gant things and ease of use.
